Meet Delius

Delius Doherty is a proud Black, queer artist whose creative projects span many forms and expressions. Doherty has performed and collaborated around the globe since graduating from The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas and finishing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Pennsylvania State University on a full scholarship. In 2016 he attended The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earning a Master’s of Fine Arts. During this time, he also  served as a Musical Theatre faculty member where he used his gift for teaching and encouraging creative minds. He performed with the original Broadway company of "The Book of Mormon" in 2012, and shortly after expanded his horizons to film and television by earning featured roles on “Law and Order” and HBO’s “Vinyl.” His distinct blend of characteristics has led his work to be called a “master class in acting technique” (Talking Broadway). 

His first short film "Facetime'' was officially selected for the Los Angeles International Film Festival in 2019. Delius is currently the Head of Dance and Drama at St. James’ Episcopal School in Los Angeles, CA and was most recently seen in the LA premiere of "The Inheritance'' at The Geffen Playhouse and the world premiere musical "The Visitor'' at The Public Theater (based on the Tom McCarthy movie of the same title). His fidelity to extensive training, as well as continued curiosity about the world around him  mesh to create an uncompromising and bold storyteller. Instagram: theedellyd
